This course is held Tuesday and Thursday Evenings 6-10 p.m and Saturdays February 10, March 9, April 13, & May 11 from 0800-1430. The NREMT Psychomotor exam will follow at a date TBD.

 A Valid, current EMT License and BLS Provider CPR Card are required for acceptance into this course. A clean background is also required to be registered for the course.  Proof of hepatitis B immunization, annual flu vaccination and a current negative TB Skin test is required. 


This course is 120 hours in class with 50+ hours required in clinical and additional study time in order to complete. Some content is completed online ONLY with assignments due in Canvas. Participants should plan on spending significant time studying and completing clinical skills outside of class hours.


.Tuition is $1550 (plus web fees) and includes EMSTesting access, Polo shirt, clinical time and online course access. Down payment of $100 (plus web fees) to hold your seat- and applies to tuition. This is non refundable

Additional Fees to obtain certification upon successful completion of course:

  • National Registry Psychomotor Exam Testing Fee: $150 This fee is paid when the student successfully completes the class.  Psychomotor exam fee is paid to LCFR.  

  • Cognitive exam fee is paid to National Registry when applying for the exam, this fee is $144.

There is the expectation that the student will spend extensive time outside of class studying and reading the material.

Some assignments will be done outside of class in addition to reading and study time.   Students must obtain specific lab skills and assessments as outlined by the State of Wisconsin in order to be successful. These EMS Experiences offered at area departments and clinicals at Aurora Summit.
